  • Thanks to these magnets, China succeeded in keeping the plasma stable for extended periods.

  • Between 2021 and 2024, EAST achieved plasma confinement for over 100 seconds—a feat made possible entirely by magnetic technology.

  • WEST stands for W Environment in Steady-state Tokamak.
